VALERIAN SPICER INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY - SPECIAL CLASS
CAMDEN BOXING CLUB
is gearing up for a very special International Women's Day!
On the 8th of March, join us as we welcome Valerian Spicer
to Camden Boxing Club to lead a one-of-a-kind class.
Valerian Spicer is a Dominican fighter who has been a trailblazer for female boxers in the Caribbean, as well as on the world stage. Having not stepped foot in a boxing gym until she was 30 years old, Valerian fell in love with the sport and dedicated the next 8 years of her life to becoming a champion, competing in 68 bouts! During this time she:
Became the first female boxer to represent Dominica on the world stage
Beat 3 olympians
Fought in the Commonwealth Games twice (2014, 2018)
Fought in 2 world championships (2014, 2016)
Became England Boxing National champion in 2013
Became an English Title Belt winner in 2016
Valerian is also the founder of 'The Spicer Method': 6 states of mind for mental and physical performance - a taste of which you'll be getting in this Special Guest Coach Class!
The theme will be around the 'P' of the Spicer Method - Pivot and Positive Attitude. Valerian will walk you through ‘body language’ and the pivot - being able to change course or direction to achieve your goal via different angles!
